Catalog specification entries in the GEOSS Standards Registry

The SIF core team has been reviewing the standard registry entries. Since discovery functionalities will be a cornerstone of the GCI, there is a clear need to discuss whether the catalog specification entries match the needs of the GEOSS Community of Practices. The scope is to guarantee interoperability between the GCI clearinghouse and the Community catalogs.
Comments and inputs from the European Community of Practices, the European programmes, and the European System of Systems initiatives are very welcome.

Following a recent discussion in the SIF core team on Catalog service specification, I tried to capture the general CS specification model and a related instance diagram (i.e. object schema). I kept the object schema as simple as possible; naturally, the GEOSS registry entries will be more.
The diagrams are contained in two files uploaded in the documents section: "OGC Catalog Service Specification framework.jpg"; "CatalogServiceSpecificationInstance-1.jpg"
