The proceedings of the LeGIO-Workshop: GIS-education in a changing academic environmentheld 18 November 2011 in Leuven, Belgium are now available.
 
The workshop created opportunities to exchange experiences and ideas about established and new ways of GIS-education, present and debate teaching and learning methods and pave the way for future GIS-educational activities.
 
The workshop consisted of four oral sessions, each with three presentations, a poster session and a concluding round table discussion:
(1) Demand for and supply of GI-education,
(2) GI-education tools,
(3) SDI and data-issues in GI-education, and
(4) Formats of GI-education.
