Why you should join the GEO SIF European Team?
The European GEO SIF is looking for Regional experts.
Their role is importnat to help in the identification and promotion of National and European standards required to achieve GEOSS interoperability objectives.
Experts have the opportunity to
facilitate cooperation between their organization and the many other involved in GEOSS in selecting, developing and using diverse standards applicable to GEOSS.
Regional experts assist in reaching agreement on standards for each technical component of the GEOSS Common Infrastructure; thus, they may advocate National and Regional approaches and solutions.
Experts seek to identify gaps in current standards and may propose solutions to facilitate the creation of standards to fill such gaps.
The involvement of Regional experts from Academia and Public Authorities is particular important to support education and outreach and help increase technical and public awareness of interoperability issues.
