Yesterday, on 14 December 2009, the representatives of the Member States (the INSPIRE Committee) approved the INSPIRE Implementing Rules for Download and Transformation services and the ones for harmonisation and interoperability of spatial data.
I'd like to thank all of you involved in the work behind the Implementing Rules. Congratulations on the work done!
 

Act on National spatial data infrastructure of Slovak republic adopted

On the 2nd December 2009 the Slovak Parliament - the National Council of the Slovak Republic has adopted the new Act on National spatial data infrastructure, transposition of Europen directive INSPIRE into the Slovak law. 
Thanks to all, who participated in whole process of preparation and approving of this act.

The INSPIRE Thematic Working Groups, the Data Specification Drafting Team, and the JRC INSPIRE Team have finalised the third version of Data Specifications published as Guidelines for the spatial data themes referred to in Annex I of the INSPIRE Directive. They will supplement the Implementing Rule for interoperability of spatial data sets and services and allow for preparation for implementation.
