This e-Service is operated by the Digital Earth and Reference Data Unit, Joint Research Centre (JRC). The objective of the INSPIRE Forum is to provide the INSPIRE communities in geographically spread across Europe (and beyond) to maintain a space on the Internet where they can share information, documents, participate in discussion fora, and share best practices. e_Services are tools on the internet websites of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) enabling a
given research community (e.g. committee, working group, project group, etc.) geographically
spread across Europe (and beyond) to maintain a private space on Internet where they can
share information, documents, participate in discussion fora, download software, subscribe JRC
publications etc. Your personal data will be collected and further processed for the purposes detailed hereafterunder point 2.This processing of personnel data is under the responsibility of the Head of Unit
Internal and external communication at the JRC.
The Head of the Digital Earth Unit unit who manages the processing acts as personal data processor.
As this processing collects and further processes personal data, Regulation (EC) 45/2001, of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2000 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such data, is applicable.
The personal data collected and further processed are: First name, Last name, Organisation, Title, Function, work email address, work mail address, work phone number, work fax number, personal or group picture, personal CV, individual and group photos, videos and other communication material.

The purpose of the processing of personal data for the e-Services is to provide secure access and information exchange, management of data bases, including management of: communications to the INSPIRE Forum community. Registered members may choose the preferred privacy level of their own profile granting access to logged in members and/or to the general public.
The user data are collected through web forms and stored inside a SQL database.

The possibility to update or erase the above personal data is only granted through User_Id / Password and to the system administrator of the software.

The collected personal data is stored on the servers of JRC and underlie the Commission Decision C (2006) 3602 of 17/08/2006 “concerning the security of information systems used by the European Commission” defines IT security measures in force. Registered users have direct password-protected web access to their profile and are able to update it or to cancel their registration or to request to unsubscribe from specific interest groups and / or publications.
Your personal data will remain in the database until the end of the project. Registered users have password protected direct web access to their profile and can cancel their registration at any moment. In some cases user_id's unused for a defined period are automatically deleted from the system.

When someone browses the INSPIRE forum anonymous site usage information is collected via various technical means. The usage of the site is recorded in log files. These files contain no personal information, nor information about which other sites the visitor has browsed. They allow the JRC to improve the service by knowing its usage, and are processed anonymously.
